The Role:
The Strategic Creative is a hybrid of a conceptual creative writer and engagement strategist. This person will conceptualize ideas alongside a visually focused creative to build presentations that illustrate how the idea will be executed, and ensure that all fan touchpoints are incorporated into the ideas in the smartest way. He/she should be a strategic thinker with strong writing skills that prides him/herself on being creative and conceptual. He/she should have an instinctual curiosity about trends, the market and competitive landscape around various blue chip brands, while also eager to concept and execute creative ideas. The Strategic Creative should also leverage data, insights and Live Nation marketing technology to create compelling messaging and go-to-market strategy that drives revenue.
Responsibilities:
• Work collaboratively with team members across the creative team to conceptualize smart, strategic and out-of-the-box ideas that tie directly back to the live music audience
• Articulate big ideas and how they manifest across fan touchpoints through the power of words
• Demonstrate how an idea can live across various mediums, including Live Nation owned assets and purchased media properties outside of Live Nation
• Build creative decks that clearly identify a problem, strategic approach and execution of creative ideas for various blue chip clients
• Lead the written potion of presentation creation and idea execution; a focus on presentation writing with minimal advertising headline-style copy
• Work alongside the Creative Director, Account Management and Production teams to see ideas through production to ensure creative vision is executed properly
• Present ideas in a concise manner to a large audience
• Manage multiple client accounts from a strategic standpoint and work across key members internally to produce campaigns and client deliverables
• Conduct discovery and competitive research for clients, to provide internal teams and with intelligence around each brand
• Provide analysis and develop strategic plans based on client customer profiles
• Identify areas for growth and continually develop client’s strategic communication plans alongside a Creative Director
• Distill information down into critical pieces and write a creative brief that identifies a cultural tension and gives teams a jumping off point for creative work
• Fully understand the Live Nation corporate structure and business strategy to understand how our business units should work together to achieve our long-term vision
Qualifications:
We play in a sandbox with endless fun toys from music festivals to global artists' tours and it will be your job to play in that sandbox and find ways for brands to play with us. You will have creative, experiential or marketing agency experience developing award winning campaigns for high profile brands. We are looking for non-traditional minds who want to push the boundaries of what’s possible in the live music space and beyond.
• 3-5 years of experience in a creative agency or creative environment with specific examples of work/case studies
• Ability to present energetically and effectively to large audiences
• A self-starter with relentless hustle and desire to exceed aggressive goals
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; passionate story teller and brand builder with strong creative and editorial skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally to drive strategy for your product/solution area
• Excellent influencing, problem-solving, and consensus-building skills
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Working knowledge marketing technologies, attribution and consumer journey
• Strong leadership, communication, and organization skills
