Senior Director, Artist Development
Job Description:
Why this could be your next big break:
Under minimal supervision, with latitude for independent judgment and decision, this role is responsible for the strategic direction of the development and execution of overall marketing plans for WMN releases. This person is the key contact at the label for all assigned artists and corresponding artist managers. Must be able to balance the development of marketing strategies and the execution of them; is accountable for email/mobile/social/site growth.
Here you’ll get to:
• Develop and execute effective consumer marketing plans to generate awareness and momentum for WMN artists.
• Design, direct and implement effective brand strategies to increase WMN customer loyalty
• Continuously evaluate, measure and monitor effectiveness of marketing strategies
• Develop targeted programs and communication materials for various market segments. Includes leveraging market research to direct and support focus of initiative.
• Successfully manage external media partnerships (Creative, PR and advertising firms).
• Achieve retention and develop revenue targets.
• Develop, implement and maintain communications as well as marketing plans.
• Prepare monthly reports on effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
• Refine and foster strategic partner & alliance relationships.
• Develop and Maintain marketing budgets.
• Handle and safeguard confidential and proprietary information.
• Must be able to effectively communicate internally and/or externally in a manner consistent with the company’s Code of Conduct and core values.
• Must be able to perform all diverse physical tasks necessary to complete all the essential duties and responsibilities of the position.
Rockstar candidates will have:
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
• 8-10 + years of marketing experience
• Previous experience building a successful consumer brand
• Media background preferred
