Oversees the strategy design, development and delivery of organizational effectiveness programs/initiatives that supports and messages U.S. Cellular®’s strategic business objectives. Programs include, but not limited to, associate engagement survey and action planning process, executive communications, performance management, learning programs and continuous improvement programs. Partners with executives and other key leaders to identify organizational development needs, interventions and change management that will drive the successful implementation of strategic business initiatives.
Achieve desired business results via the identification, design, development and implementation of Organizational Effectiveness (OE) projects and programs in areas such as organizational analysis and design, organizational effectiveness, leadership development, strategic development, training and development, team development, organizational culture, change management, performance management and continuous improvement.
• Leads direct report team and serves as matrix leader for OD&E to deliver high quality, high value services to the company
• Serve as a trusted advisor to key clients (especially at the executive level) in driving organizational effectiveness programs and initiatives
• Oversee ODE development projects and initiatives that support the accomplishment of business and department goals
• Conduct individual and organization performance analysis and recommend interventions to increase productivity/effectiveness. Proactively assess and consult with management and Human Resources on organizational and leadership core skills development issues
• Design, deliver, and manage integrated organizational effectiveness and learning program resources & materials through leadership of in-house assets or outside vendors.
• Manage all aspects of vendor relationships and activities in support of organization and leadership development activities and learning programs
• Lead a team of professionals to achieve goals; including performance management, one on one coaching and development of the team
• Key strategist in architecting leadership development strategy to enhance organizational transformation to achieve continually evolving business objectives
• Design and support the strategies of key leader development and performance development for U.S. Cellular®
• Stay abreast of leading edge communication, organization, leadership, and learning theories, applications, and tools
• Partners and consults with executives and stakeholders to identify and resolve issues impacting ability to achieve successful execution and/or business results. Obtains and maintains a deep understanding of organizational needs
• Identifies improvement opportunities and innovative approaches for the OD&ISEC function
• Consults with leaders to analyze and design an organization with highly effective processes, structures, DO culture, management systems and technology
• Facilitate/teach programs as assigned
• Travel up to 50% may be required. Ability to travel and work non-traditional work schedules as needed
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university required. Master’s degree preferred
• Minimum 10 years progressive experience in leadership roles in successfully leading a high performing team
• Experience in executive communications, change leadership, organization/leadership development and continuous improvement roles preferred
• Exceptional written, oral, facilitation, presentation, stakeholdering and consulting skills
• Strong organizational/human development, assessment, problem solving, decision-making and project management skills
• Experience in learning and development with ability to create custom tailored programs
