Position Summary:
SiriusXM is seeking a Vice President of West Coast Advertising Sales. The VP would bring a demonstrated record of leveraging both strong client and agency relationships, as well as a deep understanding of multi-layered promotions, sponsorships and packaging to increase advertising schedules with SiriusXM. The position requires both a strategic and tactical focus. The Los Angeles based position would report into the SVP, Advertising Sales.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage and lead a team of account executives in all aspects of the sales process.
• Extensive knowledge of SiriusXM's various channel personalities and programming details.
• Work with relevant programming teams and talent to create on-air, online and event opportunities.
• Participate and collaborate with the ad sales marketing team to create incremental revenue opportunities via content packages and programs.
• Partner with regional ad sales VP's to identify and sell key target accounts across regions; maximize revenue opportunities in support of overall ad sales goals.
• Proactively ensure success at all stages of the sales cycle, including prospecting development, deal and concept ideation, closing business and servicing accounts.
• Identify and make recommendations to clients for the most appropriate SiriusXM channels, programs, units and time slots.
• Negotiate and sell advertising time to national advertisers and ad agencies, using corporate pricing parameters.
• Communicate advertising and contract arrangements to the client.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Manage and lead a team of 10+ account executives (primarily based in Los Angeles but ability to manage remote sales teams as well).
• Provide onsite leadership to sales support staff (coordinators, ad sales operations) and overall Los Angeles ad sales office.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, relevant experience.
• 12-15 years of experience in media advertising (radio and/or pricing & planning/sales analysis a strong plus) with a track record of meeting and/or exceeding annual sales targets.
• Demonstrated success in leading and managing a sales team.

• Experience in national/network radio sales a plus.
• Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
Technical Skills:
• Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
