Job Summary:
The Role:
House of Blues is seeking motivated and involved individuals, with a passion for music and hospitality who are willing to get involved with the day-to-day demands of our fast moving and fast growing business.
House of Blues’ Home Office Team is in search of a highly motivated, organized and most importantly, enthusiastic individual with an interest in hospitality in general, event management, venues operations, Food & beverage and of course music in general.
Candidates must be available for 18-20 hours per week, with 3 full days in the office.
Responsibilities:
• Exposure to all Operations sub-departments including, Food & Beverage, VIP, Foundation Room, Music Hall Operations, & Marketing.
• Assist in new menu rollouts, mandate lists, and following up on venue progress for F&B Team
• Organize membership database & generate necessary reports for VIP Foundation Room Team
• Assist EVP of Operations in reporting and presentations & projects
• Assist VP of International Development in research & projects
• Organize & generate reports on online social media reviews through Reputology
• Be a part of overseeing the operations of 11 House of Blues’ throughout the United States
The Operations Intern will work alongside the International Development Intern and share some key duties and responsibilities based on need and be a part of team expanding the global footprint of the brand.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 3.0 GPA
• Must have ability to think quickly, creatively
• Eager to learn and be proactive with new tasks
• Must be able to handle a fast-paced environment and maintain exceptional work ethic
• Must be punctual, organized and detail oriented
• Strong project management skills
• Excellent phone demeanor, written and oral communication skills
• Internet savvy, proficient with using the net as a research tool
• Reliable transportation
• You MUST be enrolled in college AND get course credit. Documentation is required.
• This is an UNPAID internship
• You must have FULL knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and be able to do various projects unsupervised.
