Job Summary:
The Role:
House of Blues Entertainment’s Email Marketing team, a division of Live Nation Entertainment, is in search of a highly motivated, organized and most importantly, enthusiastic individual who is interested in working within the heart of the live entertainment industry. The Email Marketing Internship program was created six years ago to provide a unique opportunity for undergraduate students to immerse themselves in the crossroads between the marketing sector and the entertainment industry. As a House of Blues Email Marketing intern, you will assist the email marketing team, develop your email marketing and project management skills and at the same time, gain valuable, real-world experience in the live entertainment industry.
Responsibilities:
• Learn email marketing basics through quality assurance checks for emails using Salesforce Marketing Cloud (proofreading content, copy, links, HTML, and checking for email rendering).
• Actively update email marketing guides and documentation for email brand standards and processes.
• Support the Email Marketing team by updating the House of Blues Foundation Room Presale event roster.
• Assist in creating monthly reports to track Foundation Room Presale revenue and ticket orders.
• Participate in creating write-ups for tracking email and marketing campaigns and promotions.
• Assist with management of data, emails and newsletters.
• Contribute to team projects by working with coordinators to create compelling and relevant copy for promotional use.
• Create Excel spreadsheet reports to track specific asset performance for venues/events/campaigns.
• Research and create email fan journeys themed around marketing department initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled in an accredited college, university or trade school.
• Must be eligible for school credit (and able to supply a letter from sponsor/administrator upon request).
• A degree in Business Administration, Marketing or Communications is preferred, but not required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must be able to commit to a minimum work schedule of 20 hours per week.
• Must be willing to submit to a background investigation.
• Detail-oriented.
• Able to coordinate multiple work streams for on-time project delivery.
• Eager to learn and be proactive with new tasks.
• Self-starter and able to initiate own tasks and projects.
• The ability to conduct yourself in a professional manner always.
• The ability to learn and absorb at a fast pace.
• High proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
This is a great internship opportunity in Entertainment and Email Marketing. We are currently searching for a qualified individual to fill this internship position for the Winter/Spring Semester (January 2018 - May 2018). The student will work at our Live Nation office in Hollywood.
This internship MUST BE for college credit and runs from January - May. It is a non-paid position with flexible hours (minimum 20 per week) to reflect the needs of your college credit requirements.
