Summary
The Senior Business Analyst has experience understanding systems, applying system knowledge to meet customer needs and has leadership skills to help the team grow. He/she will display a deeper understanding of the role and business analysis tasks and techniques, and demonstrate effective team leadership behaviors.
In addition, the Senior Business Analyst will have successfully demonstrated experience performing responsibilities expected as a Business Analyst, which include:
• Acting as a liaison among stakeholders in order to understand the structure, policies, and operations of the organization and to recommend solutions that enable the organization to achieve its objectives, goals and corporate vision.
• Working closely with business personnel to evaluate business drivers and technology requirements, and defines systems strategies and specifications tailored to meet business requirements.
• Acting as a primary point of contact with the business on behalf of the technology organization for new business opportunities. In this capacity, the BA is also a "); background-size: calc(100% + 1px) 100%; animation: gr__appear_critical 0.4s ease forwards;">leader for change and process improvement.
• Using industry standard analysis techniques and best practices, the Business Analyst reviews new business "); background-size: calc(100% + 1px) 100%; animation: gr__appear_critical 0.4s ease forwards;">opportunities, identifies requirements and coordinates with development teams within technology to determine best possible solutions.
Additional Responsibilities
• Strengthen and maintain relationships with customer, stakeholders and team members, may include limited travel to customer
• Maintain scope documentation
• Obtain and maintain in-depth knowledge of core PearsonAccessnext front-end and back-end
• Provide guidance to customers through requirements gathering, with focus on Core PearsonAccessnext
• Capture customer requirements using configuration tool and JIRA
• Understand customer requirements and determine how best Core PearsonAccessnext can meet requirements
• Critically analyze requirements elicited from customer
• Collaborate with UX designers and provide them the requirements to create user interface design
• Knowledge of capabilities of PearsonAccessnext customer extensions front-end and back-end
• Collaborate with customer extension BA regarding customer deliverable file layouts
• Gain understanding and knowledge of TestNav and it’s capabilities
• Support quality assurance activities
• Support PTMs with demonstrations
• Create and use standards, guidelines, and tools for the team
• Training and mentoring of business analysts
• Actively participate in standup meetings
• Meet customer milestone dates
• Obtain and provide solution definition, documentation, and cost for RFPs
• Attend solution design meetings and proposal meetings
• Maintain scope change documentation and cost
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
• A Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business Administration, or related is required.
• 5+ years of related experience, systems development experience and design and development of department-wide or enterprise-wide applications.
