Job Summary:
The Role:
Live Nation Chicago’s Graphic Design Department is seeking a design intern who will gain experience and learn about the creation of local concert marketing assets and national design.
Our overarching goal is to create engaging images that resonate with concert goers and targeted fans of specific artists and genres.
Responsibilities:
• Learn about the graphics marketing process by assisting with designing digital content for online advertising and social channels such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
• Learn about print design by creating concert print ads, posters, and flyers.
• Take on at least one special project. This could mean creating a Chicago train/bus concert campaign, a large-scale banner, or in-venue signage.
• Other internship duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Interns must have experience and strong interest in learning about design.
• Must have knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• Candidates must provide a link or PDF of portfolio with the application for review.
• Currently enrolled in an accredited college, university, or trade school.
• Must be eligible for school credit (and able to supply a letter from sponsor/administrator upon request).
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have an avid interest in music, knowledge about artists, current on social media and design trends.
• Strong time management skills is a must, along with the ability to keep up with changing task prioritization in a fast-paced team environment.
• Willingness to work as part of a team and take creative direction from superiors and constructive criticism from other team members.
• Excellent attention to detail and superior communication skills.
