The AP seeks a Database Developer to be based in its offices in Cranbury, New Jersey.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server Databases 2008 R2/2012/2014. Author Stored Procedures, Schemas, Tables, views, Triggers, Functions and associated scripts, jobs, and maintenance plans. Optimize, tune and establish best practices and standards for data administration. Analyze and provide solutions for performance issues and solve complex problems. Develop data models (logical and physical) for highly active as well as big data. Provide data integration strategies and implement services to transfer data to our data warehouse. Coordinate and support database development activities with other developers. Develop database test plans and test cases and provide support to the Quality Assurance department throughout the SDLC. Provide scripts for database upgrades and deployment of new features and services. Build reports using third-party reporting tools like SQL Server Reporting Services, Tableau, and Pentaho. Write clean, well-organized and fully documented code. Use Agile methodology, participate in daily scrums and regular meetings with users to demonstrate the progress of deliverables.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering (any type) or a related field, and 5 years of experience in the position offered or a related position, including 5 years of experience with: Database performance optimization techniques, index tuning, execution plans, SQL Server statistics, SQL Profiler, and Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2/2012/2014; Building data ETL processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and DTS Packages, and developing solutions using SQL CDC, Service Broker and SQL Jobs; Data modeling (logical and physical) and working with large databases, including SQL Server Database Administration (DBA); Administering installation, configuration, and upgrade of MS SQL Server in development and test environments; Developing .NET C# applications, Windows Services, WCF Services, SOAP, REST Services and WebAPI; and MongoDB and No SQL database solutions, TFS, SVN, GitHub. Qualified applicants must also have 1 year of experience with Amazon cloud services (AWS).
