About the Team
The Analytics & Experimentation Products team’s mission is to empower every employee at Airbnb to make data-informed decisions. Our products include an array of data tools for A/B testing, visualization, data discovery, and user behavior understanding. Every team at Airbnb—product, operations, customer support, and leadership—relies on the data we collect to make impactful decisions and accelerate business growth. Our suite of products democratizes access to data for everyone and makes it easy and painless to run A/B tests to establish cause and effect.
Our products have also been adopted by hundreds of other companies through our popular open source projects, including Apache Superset and The Knowledge Repo. To learn more, we have published blog posts about our Experimentation Platform, Data Discovery Product and Superset.
Responsibilities
As the Product Manager of the Analytics & Experimentation Products team, you will lead a prolific group of engineers, data scientists, and designers in building analytical tools to help Airbnb employees and product teams make informed decisions with data.
Responsibilities of this role include:
• Craft Airbnb’s overall vision for how we use technology and data to inform decisions and develop a strategy and product roadmap to making the vision a reality
• Own and lead the outcome for empowering every Airbnb employee with the data, tools and ability to make data-informed decisions. Set ambitious goals, and measure and quantify impact on a regular basis
• Build a world-class suite of data products by prioritizing features, writing specifications, executing projects, wireframing interfaces, defining the product roll-out strategy and championing user training
• Interface closely with key stakeholders in Data Science, Engineering, Product Management and Analysts to understand their diverse use cases with data and gaps in existing data products
• Dogfood data products in order to empathize with customers
• Collaborate together with external companies and partners in the open-source community
• Foster a culture of data informed decision making
Required Qualifications
• 5+ years experience building analytical tools or data products as a Product Manager
• Experience with SQL, A/B testing, and data visualization
• Radical thinking paired with strong execution. Can envision a world different than the status quo with the ability to articulate a clear path to get there
• Strong communication skills to build consensus and alignment across teams with different goals, functions, and initiatives
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills
• Highly technical, garnering respect from engineers
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience building Internet products and technologies
• Successfully scaled products
