Summary
Yelp is looking for an experienced, hands-on director to lead an awesome global IT team. Based out of our San Francisco headquarters, this individual will focus on developing and strengthening IT processes to scale with Yelp. This candidate will lead the organization to provide superior support to Yelpers worldwide with a focus on metrics and data-informed decision making. In addition to a love for technology, the right leader will also have a strong focus and care for people and possess a high-degree of emotional intelligence. What You Will Do:
• Build, scale, manage, and mentor a strong group of IT helpdesk, site support, and logistics technicians.
• Oversee and manage the AV team to continually enhance Yelp’s audio visual capabilities.
• Design, gather, and analyze metrics to drive improvement across all IT processes.
• Work closely with the facilities team to expand and build out technical infrastructure in offices globally.
• Manage and control internal software and hardware assets.
• Interface with senior leaders across every department to gauge and improve effectiveness of support and services.
We Are Looking For:
• Significant experience growing and leading IT helpdesk, site support, and operations functions.
• Experience mentoring others and leading diverse teams.
• Demonstrated and profound commitment to customer service.
• Strong technical competence and problem solving ability.
• Experience with enterprise-class infrastructure and systems.
• Proficiency supporting thousands of users in a predominantly MacOS environment.
• Passion and experience for metrics, reporting and analytics.
• A sense of humor!
