The Digital Strategist works with the sales and management team to match our digital business solutions to the needs of local accounts in the Tallahassee market. The digital strategist reinforces the five step sales process assisting the sales team with all steps, with a special emphasis on step 3 (Build the Solution) and step 5 (Follow Through). This staffer assists internal and external customers with the launch of new digital marketing campaigns as well as provides metrics, reporting and analysis necessary to retain digital dollars. The staffer helps identify new incremental revenue opportunities that appropriately address business needs of customers.
The Digital Strategist is the inventory specialist for both Tallahassee.com and third party vendors such as Yahoo, providing the team with daily updates on available impressions by ad size.
The Digital Strategist serves as a liaison between sales team and the digital marketing services team as well as other teams that require administrative tasks specifically around fulfillment associated with digital campaigns and contracts, i.e. centralized ad ops.
The Digital Strategist works closely with the digital coordinator and account managers to ensure proper ordering and onboarding occur.
Other responsibilities include the following:
• Manage implementation of new customer accounts.
• Preparing reports that measure performance as it pertains to identified key metrics
• Perform problem analysis by investigating the root causes, summarizing findings for internal and external use and determining corrective actions to resolve them
Education/Experience:
• Expertise in customer relations, project management, and relationship management
• Bachelors Degree or minimum three years industry experience, which includes demonstrated, operation, account management experience
• Solid performance as a project manager with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Must be detail-oriented and analytical, have self-motivated and organized personality
• Demonstrated outstanding communication, presentation, training and facilitation skills, working with cross-functional teams
• Strong time management and prioritizing skills with the flexibility to recalibrate quickly according to changing requirements
• A team approach to completing projects and problem-solving
• Results driven
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project, Outlook)
• Strong client relationship-building skills and strong customer relationship experience
Language Ability:
• Ability to communicate effectively one-on-one with clients and employees at all levels, present information to large and small groups
