Director, Automotive – Large Dealer Group

JOB SUMMARY
The Director of Automotive, Large Dealer Group will be responsible for developing, leading and supporting the company’s growth for our top 20 large automotive dealers. This position will utilize all products, solutions and initiatives within the company’s footprint. The role requires high collaboration and integration with the local markets and their teams in development of sales strategies that can support new business and share growth of automotive advertisers' marketing spend.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• This person is responsible for meeting or exceeding Revenue/Expense and Cash Flow goals set forth for the Automotive, Large Dealer Group.
• Represent Spectrum Reach as the primary category expert with industry marketing leads at both manufacture and media agencies for our top 20 large automotive dealers.
• Expert knowledge in Spectrum Reach’s product offerings and demonstrating our value.
• Ensure the company’s Automotive category is aligned to support Enterprise strategies, deliverables and performance expectations.
• Consult regularly with Sale’s Leadership to maintain strong working knowledge of market conditions and competitive insights .
• Build working relationship and strategies with Dealer Group Automotive team on strategies and initiatives impacting our large automotive dealers.
• Build strong relationships with the OEM Field managers and key decision makers where appropriate.
• Implement and/or align with strategy and tactics against key automotive strategies (CO-OP and Service).
• Conduct in-person presentations to advertising agencies and potential/current clients regarding advertising opportunities with Spectrum Reach.
• Partner with Research, Marketing and Digital in the design and development to deliver on go-to-market strategies and integrated sales packages.
• Participation in automotive industry events and conferences as assigned and stay current to industry insights and trends.
• Take a leadership role in executing revenue opportunities around high impact initiatives.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• 10+ years in related automotive media/advertising Sales with a proven successful track record of meeting and exceeding goals.
• 5+ years of Sales leadership experience.
• Proven track record of inspiring and building client strategy teams.
• Deep knowledge of advertising infrastructure, ad operations, data analytics, yield analysis, advanced Digital media platforms, Interactive Media, DRTV, client & relationship development.
• Excellent organizational skills and analytical skills. Critical thinking, problem solving, and superior customer focus.
• Strong strategic, interpersonal, communication, collaboration, presentation and time-management skills and ability to execute initiatives within the team and company as well as customers.
• Strong influencer with experience working with a distributed sales team
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor’s Degree is preferred or equivalent experience
