Reporting to the Head of Global Benefits & Mobility, the overall purpose of this job is to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of Benefits and Leave Programs, etc. via continuous process improvement and effective leadership in the regions.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Responsibility for all Global Benefits Programs (ie. Travel Accident, Travel Medical, EAP, etc.) including responsibility for the management of the Global Workers Compensation.
• Management of the Global Multinational Pooling strategy.
• Partnering with Regional Brokers to ensure the best possible service and price ratio for Airbnb and manage vendor relationships to ensure smooth plan changes and efficient ongoing administration.
• Ensuring availability of up to date guidebooks on Benefits and Leave offerings in the regions of responsibility.
• Taking a leading role in the management of M&A integration activities around Benefits and Leave.
• Conducting regular competitive benchmarking analyses on Benefits and Leave across the regions of responsibility, ensuring alignment with corporate strategies, legal requirements and local practices, and analysing Benefits surveys and participating in Forums, as necessary.
• Taking a leadership role in policy creation, process building & improvement, and problem/exception resolutions with focus on efficient and effective policy and process operationalization.
• Acting as a solution provider and counsellor for Talent Partners and other business leaders with regards to interpretation of plan provisions and requirements, and resolution of administration and policy issues and questions, providing expert advice.
• Identifying opportunities to improve current programs – diagnose gaps between current and desired situations and deploy actions to resolve the gaps, influencing key stakeholders as appropriate.
• Supporting annual benefits renewals, as required, in collaboration with Regional Benefits broker and Talent Partners.
• Ensuring effective cost tracking of all benefits per country including statutory benefits costs and fringe benefits and perks.
• Ensuring that all benefit and leave policies, procedures and plan documentation pertaining to employee benefits are kept up to date and in compliance with any legislative changes.
• Partnering with HR Business Systems team in developing the Global Functionalities in “Workday” benefits and absence and leave. Ensure requirements are gathered, documented and implemented effectively.
Key competencies & Skills
• 8 to 10 years experience in a HR environment, with expertise in the field of global benefits design.
• Experience in managing US, Canada and ASIA benefits and leave programs.
• University Bachelor Degree.
• Knowledge and experience in Multinational pooling strategies
• Experience in M&A.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Process improvement orientated
• Evidence of managing a variety of complicated tasks
• Willingness to travel internationally
• Experience in working with international / cross cultural teams
• Highly organized, able to handle multiple projects, with a demonstrable track record of getting things done.
• Self-motivated, able to work with minimal levels of supervision.
• Strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
• Strong initiative and the ability to self-manage and handle a variety of initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced, high growth environment.
• Working knowledge of MS Office Suite, with an advanced knowledge of Workday highly appreciated.
• Knowledge of other languages would be an advantage (Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Chinese, etc.)
