Job Title
Associate Financial Editorial Director
The Assoc. Financial Editorial Content Director is responsible for providing leadership and direction required to produce high quality content for a major finance/banking & investment client across all channels; inspiring and managing staff to meet deadlines and develop new ideas to grow the business; and partnering with the Content Director to plan overall business strategies and identify, evaluate and implement growth opportunities. The Associate Content Director will be hands-on as well, writing copy for high-profile assignments to ensure top-quality delivery as well as establishing the voice and tone for all communications, ensuring consistency with established brand messaging.
Essential Job Functions
• Supervise creative process and ensure that deliverables meet the high client standards: This includes overseeing editorial outlines and overall voice and tone from a content and brand perspective.
• Develop cross-channel content strategy and oversee implementation; develop innovative approaches to high-level brand campaigns and initiatives, providing research and strategic thought against client objectives
• Top-edit all text for all deliverables
• Write copy for high-profile assignments like catalog, signage and brand campaign
• Hire, train, motivate, and lead a team of 2 or more employees as well as identify and direct freelance talent as needed.
Job Requirements Minimum Qualifications:

Education:
4-year degree in journalism or marketing or the equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience:
Minimum 7 years of publishing/editing/writing experience across channels in a marketing agency supporting one or more brands/clients.
Prior experience with financial/banking and investment clients required
Must have experience leading and directing the work of 2 or more employees.
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Writing, editing, copy editing, scheduling
Comprehensive understanding of cross-channel content marketing programs
Must be creative, have excellent creative writing skills and outstanding conceptual ability
Must be well-organized, accurate, flexible, productive, and have concern for quality
Must be able to translate client and MXM objectives into quality design that communicates effectively
Must be team oriented and able to work with employees across levels and departments
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must exemplify MXM's values
