QUEST OBJECTIVES
The ideal candidate for the role is passionate about data and wants to help us understand the behavior and needs of our players as they use our game websites, mobile apps, and games. You’ll dive into our data and deliver actionable insights, analysis, and recommendations to our global teams to help inform day-to-day decision making and help shape long-term project strategies.
Responsibilities include:
• Evaluating the overall performance and health of Blizzard Web & Mobile websites and mobile apps.
• Collect and analyze data using Google Analytics and other in-house systems.
• Aggregate, organize and visualize data through dashboards using tools like Google Data Studio.
• Partner with program management, design, and engineering teams to define KPIs and analytics strategy for projects.
• Uncover and share meaningful insights and visitor trends; offer creative recommendations to improve team goals and KPIs.
• Partner with development teams to define A/B testing plans and A/B testing strategy.
• Help set up A/B tests, perform analysis, and present findings to stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot any data issues related to tracking and reporting.
• Partner with publishing to deploy marketing pixels to measure campaign performance.
• Be a champion for the use of data and research in project execution across our department.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
• Currently enrolled in a college or university, or planning to enroll in Fall 2017
• Returning for at least one more semester or quarter following the Summer 2018 internship
• Able to work fulltime hours for 11 – 12 weeks at the Blizzard office indicated in this job posting between May 2018 – August 2018 or June 2018 – September 2018 (group dates depend on when you get out of school)
• Authorized to work in the US
LEVEL REQUIREMENTS
• Analytical and detailed oriented, with a passion for digging into data to identify key trends, results, and critical outcomes
• Experience with analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, etc.)
• Strong Excel skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
• Works effectively both independently and as a member of a cross-functional team
RECOMMENDED TALENTS
• Experience with visualization tools (Tableau, Google Data Studio, etc.)
• Experience with A/B testing tools (Optimizely, Google Optimize, Adobe Target, etc.)
• Experience with tag management tools (Google Tag Manager, Tealium, Signal, etc.)
• Pertinent web and mobile experience in the game industry field
• Passion for gaming and for Blizzard games and products
• Experience with HTML, JavaScript, etc.
• Experience with SQL
