Executive Director Sales, Risk & Reputation
Location:London or New York
The Role
The role of Executive Director Sales, Risk & Reputation is to assist the VP of Corporate Intelligence in driving and growing revenue with Storyful’s key partners. The Risk & Reputation sales team is the external sales arm of the Storyful insights, intelligence and risk arm, and works with the world’s largest and most innovative media companies , PR agencies and advertisers.
The Partnerships Director, Corporate Intelligence will support their team of Partnerships managers and coordinators in providing best in market service and solutions to Storyful’s partners.
You will lead senior client and agency relationships and negotiations, and work alongside Storyful’s creative and product teams to deliver customer centric solutions

• Revenue
• Consistently meet and exceed your team's revenue targets
• Attend market presentations with senior clients (Account Director and Marketing Director level) and lead or guide all key client negotiations within your portfolio
• Support and develop Partnerships Managers in building new client relationships and generating revenue
• Identify gaps in revenue and implement relevant strategies to close
• Seek and identify new business prospects for the Corporate Intelligence division
• Prospecting, pitching and closing sales
• Client & Account Management
• Lead Partnerships Managers to develop high levels of sales service and a customer centric approach
• Lead Partnerships coordinators to ensure client satisfaction, accurate invoicing, and campaign implementation
• Ensure output is customer centric and all opportunities meet customer needs and objectives
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and agencies
• Resolve issues with clients and agencies to ensure client satisfaction
• Collaborate closely with other divisions of the business including close collaboration with Product, Creative, Editorial & Operations.

• Identify, develop, drive and deliver sales opportunities
• Manage the completion and execution of your team's client account plans
• Contribute to the commercial strategy for Storyful’s Corporate Intelligence division
• Communicate strategy and direction of your team to key stakeholders
• Maintain awareness of competitors and monitor their activities and relevant actions
• Contribute to and execute strategies for News Corp businesses to leverage Storyful’s Corporate Intelligence offering
• Reporting
• Monitor and communicate your team's business performance on a regular basis
• Oversee the maintenance of Salesforce and revenue pipelines
• Prepare and deliver accurate forecasts and budgets at the frequency outlined by the VP of Corporate Intelligence
• Leadership and People Management
• Manage the Partnerships Managers and Coordinators within your region
• All team members to have clear position descriptions and goals in place
• Manage leave accruals and absenteeism in a timely manner
• Conduct performance reviews in line with Storyful’s policy for all direct reports
• Regular WIPs and two way feedback in place with direct reports
• Manage and address underperformance of direct reports
• Identify at risk direct reports and escalate to manager
• Lead recruitment for direct report roles
• Execute best in practice work ethic, team motivation and a strong team culture across the Sales team in line with your leaders
• Lead by example in your style and approach, which will characterize the Company’s dealings with the marketplace.
Skills and Experience Required
• 3-5 years’ experience in a revenue-focused sales role within the digital marketing/advertising/PR or social software industry, with a minimum of 1-2 years experience managing a team
• Leadership skills and an entrepreneurial spirit
• Proven record of prospecting, growing and managing revenue
• Expertise in the digital marketing ecosystem, including but not limited to UGC, video, brand content, and social insights
• Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience required
• Strong computer skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, the Google tool-set and other cloud based business tools
• An expansive network of client and agency connections
• Experience using a CRM system
• Strategic Solutions Seller with a Consultative Style
• Expert networking abilities
• Ability to build an extensive list of prospects
• Exceptional business writing skills
• Some travel required
