As a Director, Technical Program Management you will manage delivery of MLG.com owned and operated applications and APIs for a variety of platforms ranging from Web, iOS, Android to Roku and XBOX. You will build and leverage a team of Project Managers and collaborate closely with MLG Product Team to define and deliver major milestones. You will also collaborate with other Engineering teams to ensure any common functionality is distilled at the platform level to facilitate creation of building blocks that will accelerate application development and allow the platform to be extended to third parties.
Responsibilities:
• An active, vocal partner in defining the strategic direction of major product and / or product lines involving several complex programs.
• As an Engineering Program owner, oversee multiple project managers and scrum teams aligned to those building out those programs/systems.
• Assist the Business Product Owner and Scrum Master(s) with Agile Planning and keeping the backlog groomed.
• Define process around and facilitate program status meetings, track status of existing issues and identify new issues and risks and develop processes for mitigating those risks
• Act as a central point of contact for all communication related to the programs and project(s).
• Interact with a diverse set of technical and nontechnical stakeholders to manage timelines and expectations
• Assess impact of change requests.
• Know at all times the health of programs and projects, risks and impact to delivery of customer and business value.
• Manage multiple projects with shifting and competing priorities
• Distill product requirements into actionable items for Engineers
Requirements:
• 8+ years of software program/project management experience
• 12+ years of engineering management experience
• Expert knowledge of project management tools (Jira, Wrike, etc)
• Hands-on experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Lead or Agile Coach
• Strong technical background.
• Technical or Management degree required
