Senior Traffic Coordinator, Emerging Markets, TV Networks

Sony Pictures Television (SPT) Networks operates branded entertainment channels around the world. The channels offer high quality film and television content from Sony Pictures and third party distributors, as well as original content commissioned globally and locally.
SPT Networks currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Traffic Coordinator to join their London based Emerging Markets team.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, the role will involve, but will not be limited to:
• Being the main point of contact for all acquired content for both internal and external use
• Management of ingest, ingest operator workload. Assessment of all QC material for transmission using judgement experience of broadcast; responsible for the management of freelance compliance operators and the processing of invoices on behalf of any compliance operators that are hired
• Responsible for coordinating long form material for QC compliance editors to work on across different territories to ensure all material is complied
• Creating and inputting of metadata
• Servicing both internal clients (e.g. promo, marketing, programming teams) and external (e.g. VOD, 3D, catch-up)
• Operating in an international office with colleagues, distributors and clients around the world
• Understanding the role transmission centres have and communicate effectively with them
• A sound understanding of broadcast operations and working with the scheduling and programming teams
• Presenting and communicating status updates to both senior management and peers
• Being part of a team that has main responsibility for tracking, processing, delivery and broadcast of all long-form materials across linear and non-linear channels
Essential Skills & Experience Required
• Typically, 3+ years of experience across linear broadcasting
• Knowledge of file formats, file delivery methods, new distributor file testing, transcoding and asset storage
• Line management experience
• Knowledge of broadcast standards (PSE, R128 etc)
• Awareness of OFCOM regulations
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to prioritise a multi-faceted workload that changes daily, and understand commercial needs that would necessitate a tight turnaround
• Experience in localisation of content for transmission (Russia) desirable
• Experience of broadcast scheduling systems (Vision) desirable
• Experience of Media Asset Management systems (Mediator) desirable
• Effective time management and organisational skills and the ability to prioritise own workload
