Job Description
• Collaborate with content and marketing stakeholders to deliver a best-in-class, consistent, brand experience across channels and touchpoints.
• Conceptualize and execute digital creative work across channels including MAKERS.com, digital campaigns, mobile, social and email.
• Translate business goals into actionable design directives and effectively communicate creative rationale (orally and visually) to key stakeholders.
• With support from the Associate Designer, deliver all digital and print assets for the annual MAKERS Conference and MAKERS@ programming including, event collateral, invitations, agendas, recaps, mailers and social assets.
• Manage Associate Designer--provide clear direction, constructive feedback and prioritize workload to ensure projects are delivered on time and to the highest standard.
• Initiate MAKERS email campaigns, and develop/optimize templates.
• Develop wireframes and design templates for MAKERS.com, MAKERS Conference App and MAKERS Stories App.
• Drive creative brainstorming, concept development and design execution
• Manage external creative agencies and effectively collaborate with internal OATH creative stakeholders.
• Remain on the cutting edge of emerging tech, trends, tools and apps.
Qualifications
• Robust design portfolio highlighting a range of diverse digital and print work samples.
• Best-in-class layout and branding skills
• Continuously explore current design trends in order to keep up to date of MAKERS aesthetic and understanding of what drives audience and engagement in digital design now
• Passionate designer and a self-starter and innovator who is eager to remain on the cutting edge of design trends.
• Minimum 4 to 5 years of professional experience including art direction, design and event design; start up experience a plus
• Minimum 1 to 2 year of managing junior designers
• Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite and Sketch
• Proficiency with Google Slides, Powerpoint and Keynote
• Retouching experience
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with Sailthru/Mailchimp preferred
• Experience using content management systems preferred
• Illustration skills preferred
• Animation skills a plus
