Job TitleDigital Sales Specialist
I. Job Summary | Major goals and objectives.
The Digital Sales Specialists duties consist of assisting the Digital Sales Manager and Account Executives with developing cross-platform marketing initiatives, managing and monitoring live marketing campaigns, providing optimization recommendations, and developing campaign reporting and recap strategy from all Meredith Partners. These duties are to be ongoing while maintaining the focus of driving revenue and building/maintaining the quality of the WHNS and Meredith Digital brand.
The Digital Sales Specialist works closely with management, sales team, and external partners by providing feedback on digital including but not limited to prospecting, research, operations, concepts and creative proposal development for use by the sales force as well as recommendations on how to improve them.
In addition, the Digital Sales Specialist will cultivate his/her own book of business by prospecting, conducting Client Needs Analyses, marketing campaign pitches, and necessary client service.
II. Essential Job Functions

40% Prospecting and cultivating new business clients
20% Submit, monitor, and provide optimization recommendations for marketing campaigns
20% Develop sales presentations, proposals, and recap presentations for sales staff
5% Adheres to stations’ credit and collection policies and procedures. Assists business office in credit and collection activities as needed.
5% Provides management with timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual budget forecasts. Maintains accurate records of individual list performance. Generates any additional station specific reports as required.
5% Places a priority on the sale of special inventory, marketing events and/or production to increase revenue potential.
5% Maintains understanding of local market ratings, competitive media, station strengths, industry and product knowledge. Utilizes supplementary market research. Remains updated regarding industry trends through trade publications and marketing seminars.

Education:
College degree preferred.
Related sales/marketing courses and seminars helpful.
Experience:
Minimum two years media sales (TV, radio, cable) background preferred; other business-to-business outside sales considered.

Self starter

Solid grasp of basic marketing concepts
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Strong PowerPoint Skills.
Strong Google Analytics Skills. Google Analytics certification is preferred.
Basic knowledge of digital marketing concepts.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Some knowledge of strengths and weaknesses of competitive media
