SUMMARY
Hulu’s Product Management team is seeking a Director, Product Management who will be an exceptional addition to our Subscriber Acquisition Product Management team. As a Director, Product Management at Hulu, you will be responsible for overseeing Hulu’s product strategy and roadmap, ideation, prioritization and developing processes for subscription growth. The right person for this role will build a talent pipeline, mentor product managers at all levels, foster innovation, create a healthy environment for all team members to grow with high humility and integrity. Influence and team building skills are essential for the success for this position. WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Create and manage Hulu’s multi-year product roadmap for Subscriber Acquisition Product Management.
• Drive scrappy and highly agile “growth hacking” effort to drive daily and weekly subscription growth.
• Align subscription growth efforts across Marketing, Distribution, Technology, Product, and Finance teams.
• Partner with ecosystem partners, ideally hardware manufacturers, to drive subscriber acquisition through device and retail partners.
• Collaborate with the SVP, Experience, VP, Engagement and Retention, VP, Marketing and other business leaders to make Hulu a must have entertainment experience.
• Drive cross-company awareness, alignment, and pursuit of the Subscriber Acquisition product roadmap.
• Set and align product experience, monetization, and incubation goals within the product team and with other teams at Hulu, making quick and clear trade-off decisions when needed.
• Build a sustainable talent pipeline and grow healthy, creative, empowered and autonomous product teams.
• Partner internally and externally to drive innovation in the Hulu experience championing product innovation.
WHAT TO BRING
• Technical degree or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years preferred of product management experience overseeing the design, development and launch of successful consumer internet products and/or applications on devices, with at least 3 years of multi-level management (Manager of Managers).
• 5+ years of managing product teams with multiple business or product lines and a track record of successfully scaling leadership across all lines of business.
• Proven experience and success in driving subscriber acquisition in a high growth, digital subscription business, including SEO, app store download, and top of the funnel to conversion attribution and optimization
• Deep expertise in subscription businesses (SAC, Churn, ARPU, CLV), billing cycles, and payment instruments
• Deep passion for TV and Movies and the experience people have with each
• Successful track record of creating and delivering on multi-year product strategy and roadmaps and driving “growth hacking” efforts to deliver immediate results
• Experience working in both highly agile environments as well as large product development efforts.
• Solid understanding of customer needs, business goals and competitive pressures, the ability to convert those into product requirements and priorities, and broadly communicate them to the organization.
• Ability to interact with a diverse set of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent product judgment: Ability to make sound judgments based on trade-offs with different solutions, complex problems, various stakeholders, and many constraints.
• Project management skills: Ability to plan, set expectations, make and meet commitments.
• Superb analytical skills: Ability to solve complex problems through analytics and data-driven approach to decision making.
• Ability to prioritize competing opportunities, balance market needs with business priorities, drive detailed trade-offs over the product lifecycle, manage conflict, and articulate the rationale behind decisions.
• Strong leadership skills: Ability to balance and productively resolve contradictory demands and timelines in order to deliver against the company vision and goals.
