Sr. Finance Manager, Bet Digital & Ancillary
Overview and Responsibilities
The Sr. Finance Manager of BET Digital & Ancillary is a vital role to the success of the finance group. This position will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of the ancillary businesses (i.e. Download to Own, and Live Events) and digital operations for websites, branded apps, and other mobile platforms. Position reports to VP of Digital and Ancillary Finance with significant exposure to the senior leadership team.
• Conduct monthly meetings with business leads to review financial performance against target budget. Provide actionable analysis
• Assist in creating long-range strategic plans, annual budgets and quarterly forecasts with business teams and corporate finance management team, which includes but is not limited to:
◦ Inputting revenue and expense information in financial systems
◦ Preparing financial packages for business teams and finance management team
◦ Providing variance explanations
• Responsible for managing quarter closes which includes: analyzing and reviewing necessary information to accounting department (accruals, re-classes, etc.); analyzing financial data for accuracy, and presenting results to senior management in a clear and concise manne
• Provide monthly updates on quarter and year end outlook along with assessment of risks & opportunities
• Support digital and ancillary groups by understanding key business drivers for analysis of business operations and expenses
• Ensure compliance with VMN accounting policies/procedures, GAAP and SOX requirements.
• Ad hoc analysis as required by senior digital management
Basic Qualifications
• A minimum of 5-7 years of corporate finance experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; MBA preferred
• Superior Microsoft Excel skills including detailed and automated modeling abilities
• Budgeting, analytical, and strategic planning experience a must

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to communicate and successfully work with senior operating and finance executives
• Exceptional time management and organizational skills
• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Good leadership skills, a self-starter with a sense of urgency
