Nature Research Group are looking for an Assistant Marketing Manager to work on range of client projects.
The Corporate Partnerships Assistant Marketing Manager role is a fantastic opportunity to promote a range of client projects (including but not limited to Nature Outlooks, Nature Insights, Nature Collections, Posters, Webcasts and Animations) to a global researcher community in a supportive team focused environment. You will be involved in creating and implementing marketing plans from inception to completion, with the aim of increasing customer awareness, interest and engagement. You will work with a range of key stakeholders in order to communicate and deliver the marketing plans, including the Publishing and Editorial teams, Sales teams (local and regional), Digital Marketing & Services team, the Design team as well as regional Marketing teams.
Responsibilities
• You will prepare and implement marketing plans to generate leads and increase customer awareness/engagement via a range of online and offline marketing activities including but not limited to email marketing, web marketing, print marketing, social media (including PPC marketing) as well as exhibiting at events
• Produce marketing materials for each project, supporting the efforts of the sales teams and bringing sales opportunities to market
• Market each project to meet client expectations, adapting the marketing plan where necessary
• Drive engagement/registrations and develop the webcast programme, looking at ways to best achieve the corporate targets
• Utilise marketing automation programmes, to enable smarter targeting and engagement with key audience
• Manage digital marketing efforts using available systems e.g. Webtrends, Silverpop, Altmetric and monitor lead generation
• Develop social media advertising/PPC campaigns to increase registrations/brand awareness/engagement with the target audience
• Analyse campaigns and regularly communicate results with key stakeholders
• Produce end-of-campaign performance reports for all corporate projects, putting an emphasis on key metrics/ROI measurements that show the success of the campaign
• Represent the marketing department at key exhibitions around the world
Experience, skills and qualifications
Essential
• University degree
• Significant experience in marketing or publishing
• An awareness of global marketing trends and techniques and a commitment to developing marketing best practice
• Solid understanding of marketing principles and implementation across multimedia channels (social media, e-campaigns, SEO, mobile)
• Personal effectiveness in handling a diverse workload, with attention to detail and adherence to deadlines
• Strong analytic skills, proficiency with spreadsheets/Excel
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Professional maturity, able to work in a service orientated environment.
Desirable
• Creative sense, copywriting
• Knowledge of web analytics programmes such as Webtrends/Google Analytics
• Ideally is able to use design software such as InDesign and Dreamweaver
