Reporting to the Director, Brand Marketing, the Senior Manager, Brand & Merchandising will be responsible for the development and execution of quarterly campaign along with delivering a consistent in-store brand experience including fixtures and merchandising.
The candidate requires an understanding of best practices in the communications and retail industries, customer acquisition marketing and strong project management experience. This position requires an individual that takes initiative, embraces a fast paced evolving atmosphere and endeavors to deliver with speed and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
• Champion the brand voice and look, managing brand across multiple communication touch points from web, social, PR, in-store, events, national retail, and base communications
• Lead the Marcom strategy and execution that meets communication objectives, target audience(s) and ultimately deliver against awareness and acquisition target goals
• Manage a master communications strategy, working with key stakeholders
• Manage the design, production and distribution of in-store communication elements including, but not limited to:
• In store POP & window creative
• Collateral/customer intercepts/naming
• Device photography, lifestyle photography & vault management
• Packaging
• Digital signage
• Conduct pre- and post-campaign analysis of in-store execution for ongoing process improvement
• Ensure all communication touchpoints are true to brand, while also delivering on time and on budget in a fast-paced industry
• Manage Creative and Media Agencies and support management of agency hours/check-ins
• Work with media agency to develop media plans with an efficient mix of media, integration of digital and proper weights for priority markets and segments while also looking into relevant POVs on new opportunities and tactics
Critical Competencies:
• Undergraduate Business degree with a Marketing focus preferred
• 8+ years experience in progressive marketing positions
• 5+ year experience in advertising and brand management
• Resourceful and can find new ways of doing things to make sure we stay connected with our target and efficient with our budget
• You excel at managing key stakeholders across functions and integrating different operational functions.
• Have a strong understanding of marketing communications principles
• Have strong communications skills - excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
• Demonstrated project management skills and ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities from beginning to end
• Experience working with creative agencies.
• Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships
• Self-motivated and thrive in a fast paced environment
• Highly organized and extremely detail oriented
• Can work well independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of Word, Excel. Power Point, Adobe
Preferred Competencies:
• Telco/Retail experience is a strong advantage
• Combination of agency and client-side experience an advantage
• Experience working in multiple languages and ethnic agencies is a plus
Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
