Director, Marketing Systems - San Francisco, CA
Summary:
The Marketing Systems team is responsible for enabling scalable processes and technology solutions to support the evolving needs of marketing. This is accomplished through:
• A strategic roadmap that prioritizes key capabilities & processes
• Programs aligned to priorities
• Design & implementation of processes and systems
• Day-to-day management of technology
The Director of Marketing Systems plays a key strategic role in transforming our marketing capabilities. As we evolve our marketing practices, align our got-to-market strategies, and increase our direct business, we need a technical foundation to support these interactions. Marketing Systems will work closely with business stakeholders to define requirements, develop the strategy, and ensure execution to deliver business value. Marketing Systems will continue to support the technology stack to ensure platform health, stability, and ongoing business impact.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide strategic leadership influencing how we deliver scalable marketing practices to meet evolving business challenges.
This individual will be responsible for the marketing systems roadmap, ensuring prioritization against business needs, and alignment of investments to the roadmap. This requires an in-depth knowledge of Autodesk’s marketing practice, and strong collaboration skills. The roadmap is an output of collaboration with Global Field Marketing, Industry Marketing, Advanced Analytics, Trials Marketing, and Subscriber Success.
• Lead all planning and build related activities for marketing systems, working closely with the Marketing Services team to ensure systems can be supported with repeatable and measurable practices.
• Monitor effectiveness of policies, practices and processes to determine efficiency and effectiveness.
• Recommend improvements to achieve and deliver improved results.
• Work closely with EIS partners to ensure plan, build, and run activities meet business needs.
• Regularly interacts with other executives to ensure alignment to priorities and to report on effectiveness of programs, solutions, initiatives, etc.
• Responsible for working directly with vendors of marketing systems to ensure ROI, compliance with contracts, influence roadmaps to address Autodesk’s needs, and to understand best practices that can address business challenges.
• Organization development – responsible for recruiting, coaching, and performance management of the Marketing Systems team. Ensure resource plans align to the marketing systems roadmap

• Experience working directly with senior business stakeholders Strong influencing skills; able to negotiate and drive decisions
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills, comfortable presentation and speaking skills
• Strong data analysis background; able to use data to influence program direction
• Successful ability to manage conflict with positive results
• Strong political acumen, diplomacy, and emotional intelligence
• Strong project management skills Ability to comfortably work in a fast paced, ambiguous and event driven environment
