We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic candidate, interested in exploring, applying and presenting new technological innovations in design and engineering software.
Role
The Technical Sales Specialist will be based in Autodesk’s Barcelona office and supporting sales campaigns of our hub based sales teams covering whole Europe. She/He partners with internal sales reps and provides technical enablement and pre-sales excellence to ensure sales success.
In addition, she/he is delivering technical assets (videos, datasets, PowerPoints, …) in the context of marketing campaigns, including the performance of webinars against large audiences.
The Technical Sales Specialist uses in-depth industry and software knowledge to uncover customer business issues and suggests improvements, thus earning status as a trusted advisor with the community.
She/He has also a role as technical sales coordinator leveraging the whole EMEA Technical Sales organisation and connecting sales requests to the extended team.
Main duties and responsibilities
Take ownership of technical sales for 1 to many activities, e.g. marketing campaigns that are executed through the Barcelona hub team.
Present Autodesk solutions to prospective customers in the form of remote presentations.
Develop and distribute deliverables from 1 to many activities to be used by extended Tech Sales team and Territory or Hub based sales teams.
Develop trusted advisor relationships with customers and members of the Autodesk sales force involved in the opportunity.
Enthusiastically assist customers to make the best decisions on the Autodesk solution that will meet their needs.
Provide feedback and communicate market requirements to the Autodesk product development team.
Support Autodesk’s partner or customer events by running classes and trainings.
Requirements
3+ years professional experience in the IT or engineering industry
Familiar with at least one of the leading CAD software, such as Inventor, AutoCAD, Fusion 360, Pro/E, NX, Catia, SolidWorks etc.
Knowledge of Product Data Management Systems (PDM) such as Autodesk Vault or similar technologies
Understanding of customer workflows, processes and requirements in the manufacturing industry
Knowledge of the competitive landscape.
Strong value selling skill.
Can work under pressure and team work ability.
Good communication skills.
Familiar with Social Media and remote presentations.
Experience in working in international and multi-cultural environments
Fluent in English and in one on the following languages: German, French, Spanish
Candidates with technical sales experience are preferred.
Other features of the task
Product demonstrations against large auditoriums or critical discussions with professionals do not constitute a stress situation for the candidate, but an appreciated professional challenge.
The position is a hub based role (Barcelona). Travel in Europe might be required up to 20% of working time.
