Job Title
Sr. Art Director
The Senior Art Director of Social is responsible for developing and implementing innovative, engaging and high performing social content campaigns. He/she will be well-versed in distilling client strategies and objectives into informed creative proposals for social, digital, rich media, and other visual media.
This talented creative will have deep knowledge and experience in current and emerging social platforms and will bring strategic campaigns to life through engaging ideas, stunning visuals and design. He/she will have an endless appetite to learn and will be plugged into all things social, design and video.
He/she will work with the ECD on driving results for clients.
Essential Job Functions
• Ideate: Understand and articulate a client’s brief; brainstorm and develop ideas; refine ideas into the best campaign concepts; gain client approval
• Create: Lead and contribute to the translation of concepts into engaging campaigns including photography, video, motion graphics on social and digital platforms.
• Direct: On-set direction of photography and video, direction of illustrators and graphics
• Collaborate: Collaborate with creatives including art directors, copywriters, designers, producers, photographers, stylists, creative technologists, production / content managers and user experience architects
• Additional responsibilities:
◦ Participate/lead in growth/new business proposals
◦ Develop and maintain solid client relationships
Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements| All must be met to be considered.
Experience:
• 7+ years of progressive creative content/campaign experience (preferably agency side), with significant experience in digital and social media platforms
• Experience working with Inter Agency Teams on paid media campaigns, influencing flighting and optimization recommendations
• Track record of developing concepts and pitching to clients
• Managing designers and workflows
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Experience with current digital design standards and best practices
• Experience with social media and best practices
• Experience with photo and video direction, from concept to storyboard to finish
• Experience thinking and directing “in motion:” moving imagery, animation, GIFS, motion graphics
• Strong conceptual ability
• Strong visual aesthetics: design, color, typography, composition
• Working knowledge of the latest design software & technologies (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, HTML/HTML5, CSS)
• Ability to work in a fast paced, highly collaborative environment
• Strong proven capability & track record in leading digital campaigns and strong knowledge in latest trends,
• Ability to relate to people and effectively communicate under stressful circumstances
• Dynamic, persuasive presenter with experience in speaking publically
