OVERVIEW OF ROLE:
We're looking for an HR Generalist to join our dynamic team at AMC Networks! We want someone who can take on a wide range of responsibilities and projects and become integral to developing and delivering HR initiatives across the organization.
You'll play a pivotal role contributing to company-wide initiatives including: performance management, learning and development, recruiting, and retaining critical talent. Most importantly, you'll form strong, trusted relationships with our employees, spend time coaching managers and individuals on their professional development, and provide feedback and insights while developing innovative ways to ensure an excellent employee experience.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 5+ years of comprehensive HR experience including 3 years direct involvement in employee relations
• Previous experience managing multiple client groups in a fast-paced and high volume environment
• Ability to perform advanced employee relations functions including support and counseling regarding job related conflicts, problem solving and dispute resolution, managing employee performance issues, review and assessment of termination requests, and conducting exit interviews.
• Conduct complex/sensitive employee related investigations.
• Respectful of company culture and individual business units and flexes to its priorities and style.
• Build and develop relationships and establish trust across multiples levels of the organization.
• Enthusiastic team player with a strong desire to foster a positive work environment and develop collaborative relationships.
• Thrives in an "all hands on deck" dynamic environment, determined and resourceful in solving people problems and can pivot quickly.
• Demonstrate the ability to drive results for business units and any broader company initiatives.
• Possesses strong working knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees.
• Approachable with unquestioned integrity and sound judgment.
• Strong communication skills, ability to influence and articulate a variety of issues to different audiences, tailoring messages accordingly.
• May be required to recruit and staff from internal and external sources.
• Innovative and constantly looking for creative and efficient ways to improve upon things.
• Willing to travel to multiple locations, as needed
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Experience with HRIS systems, knowledge of Workday a plus.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
• Serve as a primary point of contact for all business unit(s)
• Monitor and assist with the interpretation and application of company policies and processes, ensuring consistency, balancing risk and adapting to climate of business unit. Partnering with legal department as appropriate.
• Partner with the recruitment team to ensure proactive hiring practices and prioritization meet the needs of the business.
• Identify and analyze trends related to recurring issues and recommend realistic solutions to drive effective organization and people solutions
• Serve as liaison for compensation, benefits, and payroll issues as they relate to assigned business units.
• Partner with cross functional HR team members to develop and implement programs related to employee engagement, performance management, professional development, compensation and benefits.
• Ensure successful on-boarding experience for new hires across multiple locations through facilitating new hire orientation and regular interaction with employees.
