Director, Integrated Content
The Director, Integrated Content, Sony Pictures Television is responsible for managing all Integrated Content properties, materials, and opportunities for connecting world class brands to premium studio content across Sony’s Crackle, PlayStation, PlayStation Vue and other brands within SPT Networks. Reporting into the SVP, Global Ad Strategy and Operations, SPT Networks, the Director will drive the development of progressive integrated content by partnering with studio development, creative, programming, marketing, ad sales and sales promotions with the goal of these solutions to be authentic to the consumer and fulfill the strategic needs of brands.
The Director will create efficiency within the overall organization by guiding both the development and the execution of these concepts from initial conceit to tactical execution. This person will ensure that the lifecycle of projects and deliverables are properly managed from working with sales/sales marketing to help develop collateral marketing materials and selling strategies/ positioning to ensuring proper approvals have been secured for creative and legal approvals. The director will be well versed in video content creation from studio production to creative rounds needs for making video assets. The director will be adept at identifying potential issues and opportunities, problem solving and taking the appropriate steps to get to resolution and moving ideas forward.
Overall, this individual will play a leading role for SPT Networks around the integration of brands into content (primarily video) and ensuring an efficient and productive execution of these complex opportunities that drive revenue and client satisfaction.
Key Integrated Content Areas:
• Crackle Originals - both integration and ancillary/supplemental content
• Virtual Reality opportunities
• Billboards, vignettes, custom spots etc.
• Case study videos and sales reels
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee integrated content business development, ideation and execution
• Lead contributor to new integrated content launch collateral on specific opportunities (not whole pitch or package), including all concept materials and selling positioning
• Manage integrated content project lifecycles from conception through development to delivery
• Partner with the Studio Development, Creative, Programming and Marketing in the ideation and production of custom content
• Interface and communicate on a regular basis with key stakeholders including Sales leadership, Sales Marketing Originals, Programming, Marketing, Creative as well as Vendors
• Liaison with producers of Crackle Originals to coordinate advertiser integration and custom element logistics and creative approvals
• Attend shoots and provide production notes on behalf of client and sales as needed
• Collaborate with sales marketing and creative to create case studies and proof of concepts
• Develop concepts that can work across the entire portfolio of Crackle, PlayStation and PlayStation Vue
• Communicate opportunities and disseminate solutions to the sales team
• Manage integrated content project timelines and establish clear deadlines for deliverables
• Memorialize campaign by gathering assets and results for future sales materials and case studies
Key skills:
• 8+ years of experience with proven track record in ad sales marketing and/or branded entertainment
• 5+ years of experience in content and/or custom video production
• Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills
• Thrives in a fast-paced business with quick responses and deadlines
• Passion for a team environment with a relentlessly positive attitude and ability to collaborate
• Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to multitask and balance a demanding workload
• Strategic and creative idea development skills, organizational skills and obsessive attention to detail
• Successful experience interacting with production, sales teams, clients and agency partners with a kind-yet-assertive nature
• Proven track record in developing successful advertising, marketing and/or promotional executions and memorializing them in case studies
• Media analytical and modeling skills required
• Sharp business sense, resourceful, innovative and responsive to change
• Deep understanding of advertising video on demand (AVOD) marketplace
• Project management expertise and ability to lead cross-functional teams
• Proven skills in problem-solving, follow-through, attention to detail and priority setting
• A passion for developing rich, dynamic and exceptionally effective advertising strategies
• Excellent computer skills – highly proficient with Powerpoint and/or Keynote
• Passion for movie, TV and entertainment preferred
• Passion for gaming preferred
• Bachelor’s degree required
