MyEconLab is an online tutoring and assessment system for college and university economics. Pearson Education is seeking an individual with a formal educational background in economics, along with a strong math background and some programming experience, to assist in the development of content for our sophisticated system.
Responsibilities include assisting in selection, training, and support of content writers/vendors, assisting portfolio management teams in the development of content plans, working with portfolio management teams to set standards and guidelines for content, coordinating and tracking all stages of the development schedules, providing customer support, serving as a subject matter expert, executing all necessary course production tasks, and reviewing content for accuracy, pedagogy, consistency, and overall quality.
The economics content developer will also participate in projects that require the development and/or oversight of creation of data visualizations, interactive widgets, autograded Excel projects, and other emerging content types as they present themselves.
Qualifications
BA/BS or higher in Economics.
Extreme attention to detail.
Strong written communication skills.
Ability to work closely with authors and communicate technical information clearly and effectively with other members of the authoring team.
Organization skills.
Ability to work with a virtual team in a collaborative/virtual environment.
Time management skills with self discipline to work remotely.
Ability to learn new software systems and tools.
Strong software skills in Microsoft Office Suite, with a particular emphasis on Excel.
Project management skills.
Strong problem solving skills.
Strong math skills.
Experience in the higher education teaching and/or publishing field is a plus.
