Job Summary:
As Coordinator, Email Marketing, you will be responsible for the execution of Harlequin’s email marketing programs.
This person has an eye for detail, excellent written communication skills and is comfortable with technology. They will be able to work both independently and as part of a team. They take imitative and can respond to change quickly. A passion for books and familiarity with the publishing field, as well as an awareness and interest in online marketing are assets.
Responsibilities:
Major Accountabilities:
1. Email Marketing – 65%
•Work with manager to assess strategy, planning and execution email programs
•Implement Harlequin email strategy and test plan.
•Coordinate production of emails by gathering content, writing copy, editing copy and obtaining copy approvals.
•Use IBM Silverpop, email templates, HTML coding and Photoshop to produce engaging and visually appealing newsletters.
2. Quality Control – 20%
•Follow established QC processes and procedures
•Evaluate and proofread emails at each stage of production
•Provide QC support to the Digital team
3. Analysis – 15%
•Review and analyze results from each email deployment.
Qualifications, Skills and Competencies:
Specific training, job experience and skills required to perform this job include:
•Post-secondary degree/diploma in marketing and/or publishing.
•Strong time management, organizational and planning skills.
•Strong written communication and copywriting skills.
•Strong computer skills, and ability to learn new systems and technical processes quickly.
•Working knowledge of HTML and Photoshop an asset.
•Ability to work successfully both independently and within a team dynamic.
•Creative thinker with a drive for results.
•Detailed oriented.
•Harlequin product knowledge and familiarity with publishing industry an asset.
