Conde Nast seeks an experienced editorial operations strategist with an analytical mindset and an aptitude for problem solving to drive savings, efficiencies and collaboration across all content-related platforms and systems. Candidates should have the ability to work independently as well as with cross-functional teams. In addition, they should be clear, efficient, sensitive communicators who relish the opportunity to drive real change by joining forces with different departments to reach singular goals. This role is an integral position within our executive management team, and the right candidate should be a change agent who possesses the ability and initiative to manage projects independently while effectively partnering with other internal divisions as necessary. Experience with short and long-term media/editorial planning is ideal, as is a background in management consulting work. Candidates should be fluent in the demanding needs of an evolving media company and have a history of implementing and maintaining systems that assist in communication, workflow and efficiencies. They will also be informed, inspired thinkers about the content creation industry, with a broad array of industry-related experience, and be active participants in tackling today’s business challenges. This position is based in New York City and reports to the Head of Content Strategy and Operations.
Qualifications
• 7 years of media or media consulting experience, 2-5 years of those in an operations, financial or management role. An MBA is desirable.
• Operations/strategy experience in the media industry with knowledge of the editorial process
• Experience coordinating across departments-editorial, revenue, business development, and legal
• Comfortable managing multiple tasks at the same time
• Demonstrated ability with cross-organizational planning, maintaining schedules, and enforcing deadlines
• Facility with operational systems creation, implementation, training, and management
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
