PRH Grupo Editorial - Staff Accountant
REPORTS TO: Administrative and Accounting Manager
POSITION: Full time
LOCATION: Miami
JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Prepare Journal entries for month end closing
• Pay supplier invoices in a timely manner
• Conduct a monthly reconciliation of every bank account
• Conduct periodic reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy
• Assist in the preparation of month end Financial Statements
• Assist in the preparation of annual forecast and budgets
• Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
• Maintain the chart of accounts
• Issue invoices to customers
• Ensure that receivables are collected promptly
• Record cash receipts and make bank deposits
• Post credit card statement
• Verify and post travel expense reports
• Maintain schedule of fixed assets
• Balance Sheet reconciliation
• Gather information for internal auditors for the annual audit
• Provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested
• Maintain the petty cash fund
• Monitor office supply levels and reorder as necessary
Minimum requirements include:
• Demonstrates excellent teamwork
• Fluent in Spanish and English, both written and spoken
• Advanced use of Excel a must, SAP knowledge desirable
• 3+ years of experience in accounting
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
