Job Summary:
The Campaign Strategist is an operational and execution role that supports the efforts of and works in partnership with Sales Teams (Account Executives and Campaign Planners). The Campaign Strategist focuses on the strategic inventory selection for client proposals, using inventory and market knowledge, as well as industry standards for deliverables to develop plans for RFP responses. The Campaign Strategist efficiently delivers high-quality, on-time RFP responses that contain the right package and strategy for the Sales Teams to sell the best solution that meets clients’ needs and increase share.
Required Skills
• Understand clients’ needs by partnering and collaborating with Sales Teams to determine strategic approach for proposals and determine value proposition
• Apply rules and regulations pertaining to inventory selection and campaign timing, such as geographic distribution, revenue and inventory management guidelines, as well as panel specific attributes
• Formulate inventory selection strategy, using inputs such as quality of inventory, appropriate pricing, past client history, and targeted demographics
• Provide guidance on delivering audiences and effectively using market assets, and help Sales Teams ‘sell and win the market’
• Investigate alternative options for client proposal to upsell market
• Utilize Clear Channel’s tools for proposal development, inventory selection, and pricing
• Assure all Proposal data is accurately entered into apps and accessible to internal Proposal Coordinator Team
• Respond to Sales Team within prescribed timeframes, adhering to strict deadlines
• Consult internal resources for intelligence and data outside of internal tools
• Track, monitor, and follow up on RFPs and proposals; coordinate and ensure fulfillment and delivery of RFPs; quickly resolve issues when they arise
• Share best practices proactively across Campaign Strategy Team
• Provide quality competitive data, market trending, and market knowledge of Clear Channel positioning vs. other companies and media
Required Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Advertising, Media, Marketing, or equivalent field, or a combination of relevant work and educational experience
• Three+ years’ experience in a successful sales, advertising, or marketing services organization
• Understanding of the market and competitive environment and customer needs and trends
• Knowledge of audience delivery and ability to understand and interpret audience metrics
• Understanding of multi-market strategy, pricing, and occupancy impacts and how to ‘sell and win a market’
• Ability to analyze data and apply analysis to requests from clients
• Demonstrate organizational skills, ability to effectively multi task, prioritize work to meet internal clients’ needs
• Ability to identify cause of issues and work quickly to resolve them
• Ability to manage own time effectively to meet internal clients’ needs
• Ability to interact effectively and professionally with internal clients
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally. Listens and responds appropriately
• Reports to Regional Manager, Campaign Planning
• Role will be based at a Clear Channel Outdoor office and will require some travel for meetings and training
