Director, Apps & Connected TV
Overview and Responsibilities
The Global Entertainment Group of Viacom Media Networks (which owns the digital experiences for MTV, VH1, Comedy Central, Paramount, CMT, TVLand and LOGO) is seeking a Director of Product Management. If you have an outstanding track record delivering successful digital consumer products and are excited about the future of digital media, we want to talk to you! This role is responsible for supporting new product development and growth of existing products - and is integral to our success in delivering best-in-class solutions to our customers around the world.
Basic Qualifications
• Help establish product roadmaps and identify, analyze and prioritize new features
• Translate user needs and business objectives into intuitive and compelling consumer products used by millions of users
• Direct and influence an interdisciplinary team of product, design, engineering, business, marketing, ads, and research to hone and iterate on new features
• Closely monitor market trends and maintain awareness of trends and advancements in the digital consumer space
• Establish yourself as the go-to-person for the product strategy
• Work closely with senior leadership providing status, actions plans and recommendations
• Ability to articulate the product vision and value proposition both internally and externally
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the teams to help with large-scale product and tech implementations
• Become intimately familiar with the data model and our proprietary content management system
• Maintain the backlog of stories in JIRA and help to prioritize and execute on them
• Create artifacts to aid the product development lifecycle
