JOB SUMMARY
As a leader in the Finance Systems organization, this position will be responsible for ensuring that Charter Finance Systems strategies are aligned with the overall Charter business stakeholder strategy. This includes ownership of the system strategy and understanding of current and future stakeholder needs, and how current or future solutions can provide business solutions. Responsibilities also include driving delivery approach/methodology, ultimately leading to a quality, integrated solution. Through the delivery process, responsibilities include oversight on scope and functionality to ensure the strategic outcome of the project is achieved.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
Possesses understanding of how quality system strategy and monitoring of adherence to that strategy results in quality outcomes that add consistent value to the business we serve.
Works closely with the business stakeholders to understand and manage their needs and expectations, and how to meet those needs through current and future financial systems capabilities.
Maintains critical stakeholder relationships to remain close to all relevant issues/needs/concerns.
Broad-based knowledge in processes areas.
Understands how changes to these process areas can be facilitated via efficient and effective system/process change.
Completes evaluation of ERP processes, (in existing and potential implementations) for best fit to strategic business needs.
Works closely with IT, Financial Systems peers, and third-party vendors to ensure predictability and quality of delivery.
Owns the overall strategic plan for financial systems product evaluation/selection, release strategy (scope and timing), and implementation strategy (project structure/governance, requirement gathering approach, Testing approach, etc.).
Stays current with trends and issues in the technology market, including current and future technologies and prices. Advises, counsels, and educates stakeholders and management on the competitive or financial impact on current and future solutions.
Delivers technology solutions, drives ERP’s and related financial systems’ productivity by adding new capabilities that increase business value.
Develops productive relationships with IT and business stakeholders across the organization to influence how applications can enable new sources of value.
Aligns technology solutions to business process definitions in Purchase to Pay and Record to Report areas.
Works with IT leaders to develop overall IT strategy in the context of the business strategy.
Enhances methodologies and practices in application life cycle management in line with best practices and practical experience of continuous improvement.
Ensures the applications cost-effectively meet the needs of the business as a whole.
Participates with stakeholders and the PMO governance council to define a prioritized set of business outcomes and applications work within the limitations of the applications budget.
Works with stakeholders to accomplish application work to improve the business and technical fitness of the application portfolio and minimize its ongoing support costs.
Oversees the applications organization's successful delivery of business outcomes in partnership with business colleagues.
Oversees benefits realization to ensure the business outcomes are achieved.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MBA, or equivalent experience

ERP implementation experience 8-10
Demonstrated leadership roles with expertise in ERP implementation, 5+
consolidation, and driving new capability benefits
Experience leading/championing process improvement projects to drive productivity
