Summary
Comcast,A Fortune 50 dynamic media and technology company is looking for a senior payroll professional to join at an exciting time. The role is responsible for providing leadership, expertise and direction to the overall corporate based global Payroll processing function made up of multiple teams of payroll professionals. Also provides input to the global payroll taxation strategy and pay engine configuration in a diverse, complex and global organization. Engages with senior leadership contributing to the development of the organization's business strategy then translates the business strategy into actionable organizational objectives.
Core Responsibilities
Lead and manage a global shared-service payroll operation ensuring achievement of objectives / goals / SLAs.
Lead and manage 4 direct reports with a team of at least 16.
Drive organizational development ensuring highly effective cross-functional teaming, productive group problem solving, a positive work environment, and high morale.
Ensure individual team member's professional development by strengthening expertise, professional brand and a reasonable career path.
Partners with key business and corporate stakeholders on pay policies and procedures
Drive pay practice standardization across the corporation
Ensure Payroll controllership to company policy and procedures
Ensure Payroll compliance to US and Non-US federal, state, and local regulations
Partner with executive and senior management to establish strategic plans and objectives
Develop company expertise through a broad knowledge of corporate Payroll functions and practices.
Develop and manage annual business plan and budget
Facilitate new employee integration/harmonization as a result of acquisitions
Act as an escalation point to resolve pay issues
Maintain industry expertise while managing vendors, affiliations, and public-facing representations of the Company/department.
Consistently exercise good independent judgment and discretion
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation a plus
Experience/expertise with SAP a plus
Experience/expertise with global payroll a plus
Experience/expertise with Kronos a plus
Flexible to meet processing schedule variation as necessary
Minimal travel requirements
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Education Level:Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent
Field of Study:Accounting, Finance
Certifications: CPP preferred
Years Experience:Generally requires 10+ years related experience
