We are looking to add a creative, talented and resourceful designer to our Video & Motion Graphics team. A Sr. MoGraph & Video Designer has the ability to solve problems creatively, an interdisciplinary sensibility toward shooting and editing video, creating motion graphics, and an exceptional eye for detail. They will conceive, shoot, design and develop videos from storyboard to completion, and will be involved in individual and group critiques of their work. Top candidates will have proficiency in camera operation, lighting, illustration, and a sensitivity to typography and color and be available for occasional travel. Knowledge of Premiere, After Effects, Audition, Illustrator, Photoshop, and a willingness to learn on the job is a requirement. Experience in 3D computer software is a plus.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Creating out-of-this-world videos and motion graphics animations
• Working collaboratively with creative directors, team members, and other designers
• Developing stories that best communicate project messaging and aligns to project goals and objectives
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's degree in graphic design or similar field
• Ideal candidate must have 5+ years’ experience, top-notch conceptual and design skills and excellence in visual communication and creative problem solving
• Be able to creatively conceptualize and concisely storyboard projects and communicate this vision to team members and clients
• Know your way around a pro video camera, and have a good handle on lighting, sound — keying green screen is a big plus
• Be a maestro with AfterEffects, PremierePro, and Illustrator and pretty handy at the rest of the Adobe Suite as well
• Experience with a variety of 3rd party motion graphic plugins (i.e Trapcode, RedGiant)
• Ability to create high quality content from a loose or constrained brief with short deadlines
• Experience working with 3D applications is a double big, double plus
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
• Possess the ability to communicate clearly
• Be driven to learn, experiment, and dive head-first into things you've never tried before, yet pull it all out and make it work in the end
• Be capable of blowing the socks off clients with your creative solutions
• Be able to quickly cite and quote lines from The Big Lebowski and use them correctly and in context during client meetings, video shoots and brainstorming sessions
• Candidate must have excellent time management and organizational skills, be detail-oriented, self-motivated, able to learn evolving techniques and be able to work under tight deadlines both individually and within a team environment.
• Experience baking delicious goodies to bring into the office regularly is a HUGE plus (we like chocolate).
• This position will require some travel for on-site video shoots.
• We work very hard, but insist on always keeping it fun, loose and entertaining. If tight deadlines scare you, probably best not to apply.
• Must have a great portfolio/reel to be considered.
