SUMMARY:
Pearson’s Program Solutions Group is the world’s leading provider of readiness and retention solutions. Solutions include but are not limited to the market-leading Smarthinking online tutoring and academic support service and the award-winning MyFoundationsLab, an online, mastery-learning-based resource for assessing and remediating college and career-readiness. Our solutions help students prepare for college and careers as they work towards degrees, certificates, or other specific qualifications.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Regional Director develops and implements a sales strategy within the K-12 and college/university market to sell our products and services. The Regional Director has revenue and expense goals, and also works collaboratively with other Pearson sales people to meet customer needs.
The position is remote and offers a base salary plus commission and bonuses for sales performance.
This position is an individual contributor and will not have direct reports.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s (minimum) or Master’s degree (highly preferred) in Education, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• Consultative sales experience using SmartSelling, Spin Selling, or other consultative sales systems.
• Minimum of 5 years selling products/services in high school, college and university markets.
• Understanding of higher education and confidence working with college deans, vice presidents, provosts, chancellors, and presidents.
• Experience working with the College and Career Readiness space preferred.
• Understanding and experience working with industry leaders.
• Focused, goal-oriented, self-motivated orientation in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to offer ideas and creativity to drive revenue and solutions.
• Ability to work in a matrix sales environment with other divisions.
• Capacity to present and discuss Return-on-Investment analyses with school executives.
• Excellent communication skills required.
• Familiarity working with Google applications and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to travel as needed.
