Editorial Operations Associate, Teen Vogue
Primary Responsibilities
• Manage expense reports—ensure they are submitted in a timely fashion, act as the first “vetter," and then pass reports onto the Vogue Business Manager for approval.
• Manage the GES freelance budget under the Vogue Business Manager.
• Track the web team content budget actuals on a monthly basis
• Handle contract and vendor portal setup for new writers. Create assignments numbers for writers on a monthly basis in Peoplesoft.
• Help establish rates and create monthly assignments for regular freelancers in production or in art when necessary.
• Process all invoices as they come in—check them against estimates, log them, and then pass them to the Vogue Business Manager for approval.
• Manage the digital editorial content budget, setting individual budgets for each editor and the photo/art department.
• Liaise between ad and edit, managing requests and acting as final sign off for branded content advertiser fulfillment.
• Assist Deputy Managing Editor in day-to-day departmental functions.

• Oversee the Teen Vogue scouting budget in conjunction the Vogue Business Manager and her deputy.
• Meet with photo department to see how they’re tracking on a weekly basis and to find out what shoots are coming up.
• Record estimated costs for each issue, check all invoices against estimates and then code and track them before submitting them to the Vogue Business Manager.
• Mark the PDF with appropriate assignment numbers after the issue goes to press.
• Handle contract and vendor portal setup for new writers. Create assignments numbers for writers whenever necessary and manuscript payment forms on a monthly basis.
