About the Position
Open Road Integrated Media is looking for a marketing professional to develop and implement innovative, data-driven marketing strategies. The ideal candidate will develop, implement, track and optimize our digital marketing campaigns across all channels. This will include marketing and promotional strategies for our publishing marketing partners, with a focus on increasing revenue for backlist titles in ebook format. The position will work closely with the EVP of marketing as well as stakeholders for Open Road’s content sites, newsletters, and daily deals program. If you live and breathe digital marketing, with a strong grasp of current marketing tools and strategies and be able to lead integrated digital marketing campaigns from concept to execution, we want to talk to you.
Responsibilities
• Plan and execute all web, SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and display advertising campaigns
• Contribute to social media presence
• Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)
• Identify trends and insights, and optimize spend and performance based on the insights
• Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies—contribute to new product development to more efficiently execute campaigns
• Plan, execute, and measure experiments and conversion tests
• Budgeting and reporting of marketing initiatives and results/ROI
• Collaborate with internal teams to create funnel pages and optimize user experience
• Utilize strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points
• Measure conversion points and optimize user funnels
• Play a key role in the ongoing management of and relationship with agencies and publishing partners
• Evaluate emerging technologies. Provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate
Requirements
• 5 – 7 years of experience in digital marketing—preferably in publishing or related field.
• BS/MS degree in marketing or a related field
• Proven working experience in digital marketing
• Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and/or display advertising campaigns
• Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
• Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels
• Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments
• Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Kissmetrics, Moz, etc.)
• Experience in setting up and optimizing Google Adwords and Facebook campaigns
• Experience working in genre fiction a plus
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints a plus
• Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
• Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement
