Director of Insight, BBC Children in Need
Job Introduction
At Children in Need, we know that every child deserves a childhood that is safe, happy and secure. Thanks to the generosity of the UK public, we are able to achieve this by collaborating, finding and funding the inspiring ideas that change the lives of children and young people. We currently fund approximately 2,500 projects to a value of 130m, across every corner of the UK.
Role Responsibility
As we embark on an ambitious strategy to deliver broader and deeper impact for children and young people, we are looking to appoint an inaugural Director of Insight who will play a key role in ensuring all of our data and information systems are the very best, integrated and enabling a high performing charity for every aspect of our work.
The Ideal Candidate
A creative, analytical thinker at both a strategic and operational level, this individual will help us use data and information to identify impact, income and content opportunities for BBC Children in Need while defining and leading a programme of research, insight and analysis to deliver a deeper, cross-organisational understanding of the needs of children and young people. The Director will have the leadership, knowledge and data skills to lead and develop high performing teams, a track record of providing compelling visions which people can support and deliver against, and the capacity to communicate the value of insight and analysis all levels. Evidence of strategic change management of knowledge, insight and data warehousing in a digital environment will be critical.
In return, we can promise an exciting, creative and exceptionally rewarding place to work and the opportunity to lead and influence the organisations direction of travel. Most importantly, we offer the chance to positively and genuinely change the lives of children and young people.
