OVERVIEW OF ROLE (Scope) –
The coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day physical scheduling of promos and graphics on the daily logs, timing out these logs and then getting them ready to send to AMCN Broadcast & Technology Center (B&T). This position will also schedule promos on all advanced platform logs (TVE/VOD/DAI). This requires strict attention to detail, meeting traffic and B&T deadlines and clear communication between promo planning, creative services, traffic and B&T. It is the responsibility of the coordinator to update promo breakout with all the promos that will be created and aired on IFC as well as make any changes that occur to promos or the schedule. The coordinator will also create and maintain a graphics breakout with all the graphics that promote movies and IFC’s tentpole events. Coordinator will also pre-screen original and acquired programs to identify accurate points to air channel graphics so we avoid scheduling ones that conflict with pre-produced in-show graphics.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Schedule the linear daily promo/graphic logs for the network
• Schedule all Advanced Platform logs Monitor the IFC APP and make sure promos are playing out accurately
• Brainstorm creative ways to message both on Linear and Advanced Platforms
• Brainstorm creative ways to package and market movies/shows on IFC
QUALIFICATIONS(Required & Preferred)
• One year of program or promo scheduling for a Television network
• Knowledge of Television landscape
• Work well under tight deadlines
• BA preferred
