The Higher Education Courseware team, in partnership with instructors and universities worldwide, provides learners with the skills, competencies and behaviors required to succeed in college and their subsequent careers. This team is responsible for developing and delivering learning content in new and innovative digital formats, creating cutting-edge learning applications that collect data and use predictive capabilities to provide personalized learning and improve learner outcomes.
The Portfolio Manager will acquire and manage the development of text and digital content for the Early Childhood, Foundations of Education, Educational Leadership, and Speech Pathology product portfolios.
Position Responsibilities:
• Accountable for the acquisition and development of high-quality discipline-specific content.
• Accountable for creating a continuous content improvement capability based on customer feedback, usage patterns, and other data.
• Responsible for ensuring content is fit for purpose (curriculum and pedagogy) and conducting content quality assurance.
• Responsible for ensuring author and SME content is created according to Pearson's accessibility, efficacy, and data tagging standards.
• Responsible for creating discipline specific learning tools that will meet customer needs.
• Travel as needed for focus groups, conferences, events, and campus visits to develop market insights and test the market viability of products.
Qualifications
Essential Education, Experience and Skills
• Undergraduate degree.
• At least 3-5 years of relevant sales, product development, and/or teaching and writing experience in Higher Education settings.
• Instructional design experience desirable.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Detail oriented and exceptionally well-organized.
• Imaginative and intellectually curious with a passion for helping others learn.
• Creative problem solver who can work in a fast paced, highly collaborative environment.
• Excellent computer skills.
