The PIHE Midrand campus is currently seeking a Web Design lecturer to facilitate learning in Web Design for our 3nd and 3rd year students for the forthcoming semester. Freelance web designers are welcome (comprehensive website portfolio is required).
Responsibilties
• To lecture and facilitate web design at 2nd and 3rd year level in the Faculty of Humanities in the Graphic Design programme.
• To assist in the administration and departmental affairs and activities as required by the Programme Coordinator and Dean of the Faculty.
• To work with the Programme Coordinator and Dean of the Faculty on developing new course materials and curricula.
• To manage modules on all sites
Experience
• Lecturing and General administration in Higher Education environment
• Setting assessments, establishing marking criteria, marking and moderation
• Preparation of notes, study guides, lecturers guides and additional study materials and material for E-learn site
• Coordination and Quality Assurance at Midrand and other sites
• Assistance with the preparation, co-ordination and attendance at functions, events, registration and activities (exhibitions, open/career days)
• Knowledge of html-5 & CSS are essential
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite essential
• Knowledge of UX and UI
• Working knowledge of html and CSS frameworks

Qualifications
• An Honours Degree or BTech in Web design or similar is a minimum requirement
• Candidates with a Masters Degree or equivalent will receive preference.
