Job Description Summary
The Production Manager is responsible for the production management, budget oversight, raw asset delivery, and final delivery of Society's video production needs, including what is produced for NGS by National Geographic Partners and other outside vendors.
Responsibilities
• Manage the pre through post production process, and related budgets, for the Society's outreach and impact video projects, including development budgets and estimates as required. (35%)
• Manage the team responsible for the delivery, cataloging, and rights management of Society's new and existing raw video assets. (35%)
• Handle all production related paperwork, including contracts, invoices, and payments. (10%)
• Oversee and help prioritize all of the Society's production requests across all departments, and function as main point of contact with our external production partners on deliveries. (10%)
• Assist with the workflow and development of new projects from the material coming into the Society. (10%)
Minimum Education Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum Years and Type of Experience
At least 5 years' experience as a Production Manager is required.
Knowledge and Skills Required
All basic office programs, including Movie Magic, Microsoft Word and Powerpoint/Keynote; Google Docs; prior knowledge of NGS systems is helpful.
Supervision
3-4 staff members
Responsibility percentages may vary depending on business needs.
