Position: Promotions Coordinator, Bell Media Radio

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience
Hours of work:40 hours/week. Overtime as required
Responsibilities:
• Assist Marketing & Promotions Manager and Promotions Director on a daily basis with the development and execution of national and local radio promotional campaigns
• Work closely with Programming, Digital, Sales and our Clients to develop and execute all promotional needs. External relations with charities, listeners, community partners
• Developing and presenting station & community proposals, press releases, promotional announcements and web content
• Executing all aspects of on-air promotions and external events, including: maintenance of contests, writing and coordinating scripts, building station newsletters, writing promotional announcements, assistance at live events, and other duties related to the job
• Scheduling and maintaining on-air prizing, fulfilment of all contest prizing
• Assist in successfully managing and assigning our Street Team staff. Under the direction of the Marketing & Promotions Manager, hiring and train Street Team staff
• Responsible for updating station social media accounts
• Consistently exceed client objectives while maximizing station objectives
• Attend all major station promotions and client promotions as required or assigned
• Attend and participate in weekly meetings as required
• Other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• Post-secondary education in Sales or Marketing, or a related field
• Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a sales/marketing related field in a similar size market, with a proven track record of achievement
• Demonstrated success in handling a deadline driven work day in where multi-tasking is the norm. Experience and comfort speaking directly to external clients
• Recognize that radio is a 24/7 medium and is willing to step outside of the traditional 9 to 5
• Deep understanding of social channels – Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat – and a pulse on new social platforms
• Extremely detail oriented
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products and Power Point
• Excellent knowledge of Calgary and our radio brands an asset
Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
