POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Sr. Product Marketing Manager– Enterprise Video role will be responsible for producing marketing programs to promote Charter Communications commercial products and services portfolio. Responsibilities include creation of product marketing strategies; go to market plans, collaboration with cross-functional teams, develop campaign strategies to drive product specific launches. Activities may also include evaluation of integrated marketing programs, developing and qualifying market opportunities, construction of personas and developing solutions specific commercial insights and development of sales enablement tools. This is a highly visible individual contributor position that requires collaborative work with other marketing team members as well as close working relationships with product management and development.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Supports product-specific marketing activities and ties activities to market success as measured by key metrics including overall growth, market penetration, positioning, market share and ROI.
• Responsible for the product lifecycle marketing of the assigned product area:
◦ translate product features into buyer benefits
◦ segment market to identify target customers, identify product-specific applications and develops target customer profiles
◦ evaluate and articulate competitive differentiation
◦ develops relevant value propositions, messages, positioning statements and commercial insights
◦ promote and sell the products through a combination of sales channels across all phases of the buyer’s journey
• Responsible for the development of the go to market strategy for the assigned product area:
◦ evaluating integrated marketing programs
◦ developing and qualifying market opportunities
◦ construction of personas
◦ developing solutions specific commercial insights
◦ development of sales enablement tools
◦ develop content strategy to promote product
◦ identifies and applies the most effective marketing vehicles for programs and activities and metrics for promoting the assigned product
◦ designs effective strategic product incentives with internal teams to drive success
• Serves as the subject matter expert for the assigned product area to support the development of content for external and internal marketing and promotions activities.
• Maintains thorough understanding of marketplace dynamics to help shape product, marketing and sales for success:
◦ present findings and make recommendations to team members and leadership as appropriate
◦ manages/Perform data driven competitive intelligence and market comparisons and studies to be used in business case development for product roadmap decisions and sales messaging and positioning
◦ monitors marketplace and competitive activities for appropriate positioning and differentiation
◦ develops competitive positioning analysis and evaluate product functionality and pricing placement
• Serves as the subject matter expert to support the content teams in the development of product brochures, product factsheets, collateral, marketing materials, whitepapers, web site content and customer case study to promote product portfolio
• Contributes to development and maintenance of effective sales tools and training
• Works with Analyst Relations team, product management and industry analysts to promote products and develop positive perception in the influencer community
• Interfaces with other functional areas to include: product management, offer management, sales, operations, marketing communications, finance and vertical marketing teams
REQUIREMENTS:
• Five+ years of marketing experience in the telecom/cable/video industry
• Seven year’s experience marketing video services
• Solid technical and industry knowledge in the assigned product area: Linear or IP TV
• Go-to-market marketing / marketing planning experience including driving initiatives that improve the marketing and selling of services
• Knowledge of and experience with digital marketing, web technologies, analysis/business intelligence and B2B marketing tactics
• Demonstrated proficiency in
◦ market and competitive analysis
◦ development and delivery of product marketing plans, messaging and commercial insights
◦ building and maintain excellent relationships with internal and external partners and stakeholders
◦ ability to build and maintain excellent relationships with internal and external partners and stakeholders
◦ working with sales leaders to engage channels
◦ ability to perform in a fast-paced and changing environment with minimal direction and supervision
• Strategic thinker but detailed oriented implementer
• Outstanding visual, verbal and written communication skills and experience presenting information to senior executives
• Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts into easy to understand messaging
• Familiarity with quantitative and qualitative research and basic analysis. Ability to identify pertinent market and business insight information from general or generic information.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects, coordinate cross functional teams and meet aggressive goals

EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree; preferred Business or Marketing emphasis or equivalent experience, Master’s degree preferred
