Qualifications
For WSE Italy - that operates company-owned centers and provides services and support to sub-franchisees with a total footprint of around 70 centers - we’re looking for a Chief accountant reporting into the Finance Director and leading a team of 2 people. His/her main responsibilities will be:
• managing accounting (AR, AP and General Ledger) in accordance with local tax law, standards IFRS and Italian GAAP;
• ensuring accurate and timely monthly, half and full year closure;
• ensuring reconciliation of timing & permanent differences between local statutory and management accounts;
• establishing and monitoring the implementation and maintenance of updated accounting control procedures including accounts reconciliation (strong focus on payroll);
• preparing cash-flow forecast and managing payments processes;
• preparing annual local statutory accounts pack according to Italian GAAP;
• relating with external, internal auditors and tax advisor;
• managing local ordinary tax compliancy;
• developing staff.
Experience and technical skills
Several years of experience in similar positions within a multinational environment, preferably in a small to mid size organization; good knowledge of IFRS and Italian GAAP. Fluency in English and solid Excel will be considered mandatory skills. Experience with the implementation of an ERP system is a plus.
We are looking for a person with strong leadership, flexible, structured, organized hands-on person, who is able to work under pressure in a dynamic environment, with strong ability to act independently and providing relevant feedback to the Finance Director.
